Uplands Centre Hostel is located at Changanyikeni area near the University of Dar es Salaam (The Hill), opposite to the Eastern Africa Statistical Training Centre (Takwimu). Taxi charge from the airport to the hostel is Tshs. 30,000 (around USD 20). If you prefer to take public transport (Daladala), take a daladala from the airport to Ubungo Daladala stand, at a cost of Tshs. 300. Then ask for a daladala to Changanyikeni village, drop at the EASTC (Statitics) bus stand and ask for the Uplands Centre Hostel nearby. The cost is also Tshs. 300.
