The subterranean City Hostel – Central Station was recently renovated and features natural lighting through the cleverly-designed glass roof. Hostelworld guests have said this hostel is clean, cosy, warm, secure and ‘very tidy and well managed’, with doors locked by key code. Our users have also noted their appreciation of the friendly ambience of the hostel, such as the music which is piped throughout, including the bathrooms. City Hostel, located only 450 meters from the airport buses and the Stockholm Central station, this is the perfect option for housing in the middle of Stockholm. With great transportation possibilities such as trains, busses and subway just around the corner.
A clean, friendly environment with excellent service from the staff, this hostel will definitely improve your visit in Stockholm. City Hostel has a capacity of 79 beds and offers accommodation suitable for all ages in a relaxed and international atmosphere.
In each private room there is cable TV and free wi-fi. There are also desktop computers free to use and a TV in the common area. There is a kitchen where you have free coffee and tea all day and night. You also have access to a stove (available between 6 am-10 pm), microwave, fridges, a kettle and toaster. Laundry service is possible for a small fee with dryer and detergent included.
Good to know about City Hostel:
• Check in from 2 pm. If you will be arriving after 6 pm you need to contact us via email at least 24 hrs ahead of time in order to receive the door code
• Check out before 11am.
Storage room with the possibility to store your luggage before your departure.
• Free Wi-fi
• All beds include bed linens. Towels can be rented in the reception
• Smoking, Pets, Visitors and Alcohol is prohibited in the hostel.
• Open all year.
Cancellation and no shows
Cancellation must be done before 11am the day prior to your expected arrival unless separate agreement (special rules are applied to group bookings). If cancelling later we will charge you for the first night. This rule is also applied to â€no-showsâ€. If you check-out earlier than agreed upon in your reservation the same cancellation rules are applied (i.e. 11am the day before). No shows are will be charged the full stay

Nice and quiet hostel close to the city center, but there is no windows in the rooms and in the whole hostel. The atmosphere is a little bit boring, but if you want only to sleep and eat it will be good for you.

I missed my plane and didn't show in the hostel. But this hostel withheld the full amount for night. It's the very first hostel in my life who took the full amount. I couldn't to cancel the booking because of my bus was late and I didnt have wifi here. I apologized later in my list to hostel, but they said that can't refund. I think that it's very greedy policy. It's unfair because I didn't show there. Please be careful with them!

Мне хостел не понравился совершенно. Может быть я просто привыкла к другим условиям. Брала комнату на шестерых, только женщины - и мне досталась комната 3х3 квадратных метра. Ужасно не хватало места, душ общий, туалет общий. В общем, сравнивая с другими хостелами, этот не очень.

City Hostel - Central Station говорит
We think guests most appreciate our friendly staff and the outstanding location. It's very convenient to walk to/from the Central Station and the City Terminal (with flight buses and trains) to our hostel. Our guests also appreciate that City Hostel is a quiet place where you can get a good night's sleep. The music in the bathrooms is appreciated as well as the cleanliness of the facility.
The City Hall (known for the Noble Prize festivities) is a few minutes' walk along the water and the Old Town with the Royal Castle is another few minutes away from the City Hall. But the best area is downtown! We recommend all our guests to explore Stockholm by foot with City Hostel as starting point. Our city is not that big, so you can see many sights by walking and at the same time enjoy the clean, safe and beautiful city of Stockholm.
Our main age group actually varies a lot; the majority are between 20-35 though. For fun they meet other guests and get together for a day or evening out in town. Since the mood of the hostel is very 'easy going', people read books, surf the web or just chill!
