Honestly not what I expected from a hostel at all.
It's part of a larger motel that is spread out, the backpackers lodge is very cozy, nice kitchenette and front deck.
There were towels and soaps provided and presented as if it's a nice hotel, kind of took me off guard.
Must've been a slow week because of the weather because we were 2 out of the only 5 there. It was real empty

Overall a nice place to rest in Coromandel. Right down the road from town center, and close by some pretty spots. Sue at the front desk was lovely & super helpful. Rooms were nice and warm. Only drawback was the beds looked a tiny bit dingy, but I stayed in off-season so maybe they just hadn’t been brushed off in a minute, but great otherwise

The communal spaces were tired and run down. There was noone else there when I stayed so it felt a bit empty however it is well located to explore the top part of the coromandel!
