El Patio Hostel is located Luis Cordero street, the most beautiful (spot the lamps hanging over the street) and SAFE street in the area (police station at the corner). El Patio is about 5 mins walk from Plaza Foch and 15 mins walk from the Old City, Artisan Markets and plenty of bars and restaurants to suit any budget and opens late.
We are more than a noisy rooftop, We have MANY SPACES to hang out: The terrace with a cool urban garden (Spot the hummingbirds' family living at the tree), The Pergolita to chill and relax, and the big Pergola where you can enjoy a cool drink and listen to good music. This beautifully remodeled colonial house features numerous common areas for socializing, entertaining or simply relaxing all well maintained with local flora and walls decorated with urban art.
El Patio Hostel has beautiful shared rooms with solid wood beds (King Single 105x190cm), new mattresses, best-quality cotton linens, and big storage lockers. The hostel offers free high-speed Wi-Fi, tidy bathrooms with HOT water, TV Room and fully equipped kitchen, offering our guests a great value.
It Is Ideal for solo travelers or groups, the room is bright and has spacious lockers so you can store your travel bags. Each bed has a blind for privacy, a shelf to place your personal things, a lamp and electrical sockets. Staying here is like staying in your Ecuadorian friend's house.
All rates include a courtesy BASIC breakfast to start the day. (Coffee or Tea, bread, butter and jelly, Bananas, Andean Cereal, and milk.)

Very homy.
Bed is private and comfortable.
The Room is very nice, but can still have more touch to it.
Common spaces are very well done , as well as kitchen
Showers are not comfortable (very small).
Staff is amazing😊

Very clean apart from the kitchen as it’s self cleaning which means nothing is cleaned properly by the guests. Mouldy food. The beds are comfy but room is cold at night. The bad rating was due to my safety being compromised due to bad organisation. I told the staff my flight itinerary and that I would have no sim/wifi, when I emailed to tell them I would be checking in late. They then sent the self-check in info when they were aware of me having no way to access my emails with no mention prior.

after staying in and visiting 5 hostels in Quito, this has been the best one. Hot water has been reliable, very clean, awesome terraces for exercise and yoga, plants everwhere, quiet, nice kitchen, super large, assigned lockers.m, extra friendly and helpful staff.
