URBANY is a young hostel company based in Barcelona, created by travelers, for travelers. We work every day with the main aim of offering our guests much more than just affordable accommodation. Our staff marks the difference: a young team of young travelers looking forward to becoming your best ally to explore the city and organize great themed parties to ensure you enjoy your stay to the fullest.
URBANY HOSTEL BARCELONA:
Barcelona Urbany Hostel has welcomed backpackers from all over the world for more than 15 years. All our common areas are designed to create the perfect atmosphere to socialize with the rest of the guests.
Of course, our staff is willing to organize all types of events: movie night, karaoke, themed parties, flamenco shows and an endless list of activities to make you enjoy your stay with us.
The hostel offers either private and shared rooms, all of them with a private bathroom and decorated with a modern and urban style. Moreover, our guests can enjoy the different common areas: 2 great terraces with panoramic views over the city's skyline and bar service, fully equipped kitchen, restaurant, laundromat, games area and a spacious area to relax and chill after a long day of sightseeing.
All our facilities are equipped with free Wi-Fi and air conditioning.
WHERE WE ARE:
Urbany Hostel Barcelona is located between the famous Sagrada Familia and the beach of Barcelona. The metro and train stop El Clot gives us direct connection with the rest of the city and the airport. The train that leaves from the airport goes though El Clot station and Plaza Catalunya is located just 5 metro stops away from us.
It only takes a 15 minutes walk to reach Sagrada Familia, the most visited monument in Spain.

Hostel is too hot in the room!!!No clima.

The hostel has really great location.
Dorms are comfy (but keep in mind, that only girls dorm has hairdryer, mixed doesn’t)
The cleaning was everyday and not too early or too long.
Overall, this hostel offers more than just a bed to sleep: WiFi was working amazing on all floors, Netflix 24/7, breakfast (I never ate it, cause I’m vegetarian, but my friends said it’s an amazing deal for 4€)
Party program and girls, who work there as party staff are just so fun and they take you to the best club

Old facilities, bad wifi in any spots (btw wifi available in the room), broken personal light switcher (looks dangerous in my opinion), no personal curtain or something similar to divide yourself from the roommate who sleeps also on second shelf next to you (seems that he/she could kick you while sleeping). Bathroom was in the dorm room, but with old shower system which was making loud sounds of drops falling during all night. After ckeck-out luggage should be payed (left in lockers).

For fun around here we organise different events daily from May to September, like the paella cooking class, wine tasting, Sexy Bingo, flamenco shows and classes, a travellers' quiz, the sangria workshop and BBQs. Depending on how much time our guests have in the city, we like to show them the better beaches around Barcelona. Our location is pretty great, with the beach and La Sagrada Familia around 15 minutes' stroll away, and Plaza Cataluña 10 minutes by metro.
We think this is a clean, safe and high-tech hostel; we've got a nice bar with a terrace and guest kitchen. Our average guest is aged 18 to 24 and we cater for people with special needs or disabilities.
