In Hostel Leyendas we offer many opportunities for entertainment and amusement: a play area, Pool table, cards, and chess, TV room, terrace with small garden, sunlight, and open kitchen for our guests who wish to prepare meals, set that will make your stay a pleasant experience.

The Hostel is located in Leon city, 90 km from the capital Managua, and it's near to many touristic attractions such as the Assumption Cathedral, Museo de Arte Fundacion Ortiz Gurdián, Museo Ruben Dario, Museo de Mitos y Leyendas and beaches of Poneloya and Penitas, Isla Juan Venado nature reserve, mountain range of volcanoes, and much more attractions which will certainly be very nice to know.

It is a familiar, safe and quiet hostel which offers very comfortable rooms such as double, single and multiple bedrooms, all with private bathrooms.

On arrival no water in the shower, which seems to have been a water supply issue in Leon as opposed to the actual property. However, on check in, was not informed of the situation or given time frames on how the water outtage works. Lady at check-in asked for me to write down my debit card pin number so she could charge my card mayer as she was having problems with the machine, found her to be rude and unhelpful. Room was basic as expected, little ventilation and lack of communal space.

The location is a bit off the center but we didn't mind the walk at all, even at night we felt safe going back to hostel. The rooms were hot though a good fan made it better after a few minutes. If you plan to get groceries only the top part of the fridge kept cold, so little groceries at a time and should be great. By all means the best part are the people! Everyone is extremely nice, very helpful! Even if it means staying up untill 3am (our shuttle ran an hour late) to greet us good bye.

Friendly, family-run place with more of a hotel atmosphere. Good value for a very clean private with a bathroom shared with one adjacent room. Fruit salad and coffee for breakfast. Room had a TV. Good value for Leon. Minuses: a bit farther than similar places, no lockers, no hostel atmosphere.
