Located just 2 minutes walk from the famous Mirissa Beach and surf point, Hostel First Mirissa Beach is a great stop for backpackers and travellers discovering the south coast of Sri Lanka.
Hostel First offers a relaxed atmosphere, coffee, tea, filtered water, Wi-Fi and comfortable beds. There are 3 dorm rooms with 4 beds each and ensuite private rooms available, which are:
- Deluxe Double Room with Air Con and Private Bathroom and Ayurvedic Spa is available on the property.
- Double Room with Private Bathroom
- Twin Room with Private Bathroom
*All of our private bathrooms have hot water
The hostel is conveniently situated 50 meters from the main road, on a small and quiet street. Shops, restaurants, beach bars/cafes, ATM, and bus stop are all less than a 5-minute walk.

We had a great stay here! The hosts make you instantly feel like home, the couple managing this place is incredibly friendly, helpful and sweet. Location is right next to the beach which is awesome. We’ll be back

The hostel is well located which is the only good thing I can say about it. The rooms were not clean, with lots of spider webs and paint peeling off, the breakfast non-existent (toast and jam) and there was no vibe to speak off. Yes, they have a cute little dog, but as it chew apart one of my shoes and took a s*it on the yoga instructors mat during the class, I am not sure that’s a good thing. The staff seemed to live on the property and uses the common areas as their living room. Stay elsewhere

Our stay at Hostel First may have us breaking our rule of never visiting the same place twice! In three short days Manju and the team became family and we felt like we had been there a year. The atmosphere is amazing and has the best coffee I've had in Sri Lanka, just remember to ask for the percolator! Vegan breakfast available too now!
