At Mad Monkey Waterfront we offer an affordable and clean accommodation in the heart of Cairns, the gateway to the Great Barrier Reef. Being located on the Cairns Esplanade with the Cairns Lagoon just across the street, you can pop down for a dip or spend the afternoon sunbathing anytime you fancy! At Mad Monkey Waterfront you will have no problem staying active as we offer a Free Access to a local gym. Thanks to our ultra-fast Free Wi-Fi throughout the property, you will not miss out on anything. Enjoy our fully equipped kitchen to cook your own meals. Unwind in our common room after a great day out, exploring all-natural wonders that Cairns and its surroundings have to offer. Get to know other guests over board games, a PlayStation tournament or by watching a film together on Netflix provided! Have your own car to explore Cairns? We now have CCTV covered parking available at our sister hostel only 5 minutes walk away from Mad Monkey Waterfront. The cost is just $5 per day and the spots are subject to availability.

Rooms
We offer all types of accommodation, from Mixed Dorms Ensuite to Female Dorms Ensuite to Private Double Rooms. We have high-quality mattresses, pillows and linen which is included for a comfortable night sleep. All our dorms have a private en-suite bathroom and all our private rooms come with personal towels, otherwise our reception team are more than happy to assist you with a towel hire in case you forgot one. All our rooms are Air-Conditioned & All our bunk beds are equipped with personal USB ports & power sockets to make sure you can comfortably scroll through your new travel pictures from bed. **Please note if staying in one of our shared dorms, we do have an age restriction of maximum 35 years old.

Reception hours are from 8AM - 8PM. Please note: Contact reception before 7.30PM to organise a late check in. We would highly recommend to download the GOKI app before check in and to complete the pre check in link which is emailed to you upon booking.
