Reception open from 7.30am to 11pm everyday. Check in time is from 2pm to 11pm. Check out is 11am.

Closest Hostel to Bus station, Train station, Air coach/City Link drop off.

+ Location is convenient
+ Live music (didn't annoy)
+ The beds are ok as for me
- The room is rather small
- The bedlight is too bright
- It might be hard to go upstairs with a heavy suitcase
* 2 (rather plain) shower rooms for 2 dorms in a separate block
+ A light breakfast is included
- It isn't very filling (just toasts/cereals and a tee/coffee)
* You can cook your own meal in the kitchen and store your products in the fridge
* Common zone with TV and board games
+ Free Wi-Fi works well

Bru Bar was a great atmosphere; best hostel so far in Ireland. It was clean, the staff were exceedingly friendly and full of great recommendations. I would be more than happy to stay here should I return to Cork in the future! Cheers!

I enjoyed my stay. The hostel is very close both to the bus and railway stations. The city centre is just across the bridge. The staff works very efficiently. No customer drunkenness or shouting was acceptable. Check-in time is 1 p.m., which is totally fine unless you do not feel like keeping your valuables in the lobby. The room was decent. I did not take anything for breakfast, as my diet is slightly different from toasts and cereals, yet there was a section of goods left by the guests, too
